Lets Get Started!

1. Open up a new image, 400x400, transparent.

2. Add a new layer and call it apple frame.

3. Go to selections, load from disk and load your apple.sel.

4. With your foreground color set to white floodfill the selection.

5. While still selected go to effects, plugins, superbladepro, and apply Dees Amber marble preset.

6. While Still selected go to selections, modify, contract and put 6 in the box.

7. You will see your marching ants now inside the graphic instead of outlining it. While still selected once again flood fill the selected area with white. Here is what you should have now.

 8. While still selected go to Effects, superbladepro, and apply Liz's Crystal Crunch preset. Then go to Effects, 3DEffects, drop shadow and apply vertical & horizontal=1, Blur=1, Opacity=100, Color=black. Select, select none.

 10. Go to layers, merge visible and rename your merged layer Apple Frame.

 11. Open up either the graphic supplied or one of your choice that you would like to use. You might need to resize the graphic depending on what you use. On your graphic, go to edit, copy. Next select your apple graphic and edit, paste, as new layer.

12. Go to layers, arrange, move down. I know this looks funny, :) but were going to fix it up now. with your mover tool grab your graphic image and move it so that your image is placed how you want it to be seen inside the apple.

13. Open your layer palette and highlight your apple frame layer. Select your magic wand and click somewhere outside of the apple. You will now see marching ants around your graphic and also around the outside edge of your work space.

14. While selected go back to you layer palette and click on layer 1 which should be your image layer. Hit delete. Select, select none.

15. Still on your graphic Layer go to Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur and enter 1.50 Then go to Effects, Blur, Soften More. This is what you should have now.

Looks better doesn't it! Almost done. Lets add a quote to our image. you can use the one I have used or of course one of your own.

 15. Add a new layer and call it text. Go to Layers, arrange, bring to top.   With both your foreground and background colors set to white click on your text tool. Floating and Antialias should both be checked. Enter your text. I have used a font here called Edwardian. You may use any but I have found a thin to medium script type font works best. Also the size I used was 26 but again, this really depends on your choice of font. You might have to undo once or twice to get the size that works best for you.

 17. With your mover tool move your text into position where you want it then go to Effects, SuperBladepro and apply Dees Amber marble Preset again. Select, select none.

All done!! You can now either export it as a transparent gif or animate it with some sparkles, or put it in a nice frame. I hope you enjoyed doing this tutorial!!
