Lets Begin!!!

1. Open an image 500x500, transparent background. 2. Make a new layer and call it "wreath". Open the wreath image and copy and paste as new selection near the top.

>3. Make a new layer and call it bow. Open up the bow graphic and paste it as a new selection directly under wreath and about half way down. Your should now have something like this.

4. Set your draw tool to "single line" width "8" and antialias "checked".

5. create a new layer and call it upper ribbons.

6. With Foreground and background colors set to red and green draw 3 lines from the bottom of wreath to top of bow as shown.

>7. Go to effects, 3D effects, Inner Bevel and Apply the "ribbon" preset and then move this layer underneath the bow AND wreath layers. If needed you may use your mover tool to better position your bow in the middle of the ribbons where they meet.

8. Turn off layer 1 and your bow layer in your layer palette. Make sure that your wreath layer is selected and "merge visible". Rename this layer "wreath". It should now look like this. Put this image aside for just a moment whilst we make out hearts.

9. Open a new image 120x120, transparent background. Make your foreground color white and set your background to Null. Click on your preset shape tools and look for heart 1.

Draw a heart on your canvas as shown.

11. Go to effects, texture affects, and select sculpture. Set the pattern as shown here.

12. With your magic wand set to Tolerance = 0; Feather = 0; Sample Merged UNchecked selected click inside the heart to select it. Go to selections, Modify, expand and enter 4 for the number of pixels.

13. We need 3 hearts in total so before going further, ensure that your heart image is still selected and your marching ants are still on, hold down the shift key and press "D" twice. You will now have 3 heart images on your screen. This ensures all out hearts will end up the same size :)

14. In your first heart..with red as your color, select your flood fill tool with these settings and flood fill the area.

With marching ants still selected go to effects, 3d effects and apply the ribbon preset again. Deselect.

15. Open up your snowman image, and copy and paste it as a new selection onto your red heart. It should look like this.

Put this heart aside for just a minute.

16. Click on one of your heart copies you made and activate it. It should still have marching ants on it. With your color set to green flood fill this heart as we did for the first heart and apply the same ribbon preset. Deselect and then open up your xmas bear image and copy and paste as a new selection onto your green heart.

17. Activate your last duplicate heart. You should see the marching ants still. With your foreground set to white flood fill the heart. Go to Effects, texture effects, sculpture and apply the same gold as we did previously in step 11. Apply the same ribbon preset. Deselect.

18. Open your xmas bell graphic and copy and paste like we did for the first 2 heart images.
